very nice! love the narrating and the animations are very smooth. The only thing that popped to my eye was the forest at the beginning... it looked a bit too sorted, too clean. But as i know how much work this is in 5 months it really came out great in this short time!! congrats and i hope you will send it to some short…
Ok! So Super Sportmatchen dashes on and here are some screens from all the levels in our newest sport - river dodge (name will probably change) =D There is no goal in this sport. It's all about how can dodge those obstacles the longest. Speed and complexity increases over time. Be so sure! So there is plains, forest,…
Thank you! I think it was said somewhere in the thread, but we chose to render out our 3D models as sprites because we're using the same type of lighting system as Ori and the Blind Forest (they also converted their models into sprites) It keeps the 2d environment art and characters lit the same way, giving the illusion…
Hi guys, I'm currently working on huts concept for one from my previous character. It would be a hut for an alien survivor who is living on medieval earth and pretends to be druid or protector of the forest. The character is inspired by Slavic mythology. I quite like this character, so I decided to make a home for him.…
real pretty textures ^^ i think the reason its all a bit 'sameish' though is the lighting all looks pretty even.. it might help if there was something more like a subtle 'guide' telling the player which way to go, kinda like the way light filters through a dense forest. or, something with a hotspot on a key asset or strong…
Here is a school assignment for 2 weeks. Why i chose to make a forest is because i wanted to create some realistic leaf trees. My budget was 50k tris for the whole level so i could not make the trees as high poly as i wanted to and i also wanted to add some more humane made props in the scene. Feel free to give me some…
Well the original house (the one I used for reference) is actually owned by a really old lady, that is why she can't take care of it, and when I was growing up in my home country old ladies always sold sunflower seeds, that's basically the story... But I guess that house would look nice in a spooky old forest... But I…
02 WRX. I don't really consider myself a car guy anymore, being that I stopped attending meets and stuff, but I'm still into 'em. I was considering getting a new car this year, but with a baby on the way, that probably won't happen. I kind of want to trade my wife's car in and get her a forester so she can get around in…
That looks better already, in my opinion. What's the background of this creature? Is it a dungeon dweller or from dusty places or desert or a regular forest insect? That can determine some fine effects you can apply to it for a better believability. Like slime or a sand dust. Like this Not sure if you need it, though. Your…
Yea, the problem is it is lacking everything dynamic with the lack of specular direction being the biggest problem. In the forest scene it gets clumsy and again nothing is dynamic which just make it look photo realistic when it is standing still. The scanning is however very cool, the Vanishing of Ethan Carter used it also…
