1. Get both vectors, and normalize them. 2. Connect the normalized vectors to a dot product. 3. Output the dot product to an arc cosine (NOT an arc sine!) I'm not sure offhand if the radian to degrees node is necessary, but otherwise that should be all you need.
yeah I have seen this stuff before but... I asked this on Orbs forum, but if I was to try this would there be a way for me to export the normal maps for the subtools all at once and export them all to one map? instead of having to combine them one by one.
wow, it's great! I only had Alyx die once and I think it was a lucky orb/grenade shot from a Combine Elite soldier. I'm in zombie territory right now, not one of my favorite places to be but it's nice having Alyx around for backup.

At the end I ended up creating two different lighting setup and I took your advise @d1ver and made my god rays/moonbeam a bit more prominent with a strong light source from the rose…
Thanks for the information and the blog link. In the later version of ZBrush, I can change either focal length or FOV, and the other one will be updated accordingly automatically; I don't have to look up or calculate. My problem is that, given any FOV or its derived focal length, the perspective distortion effect is far…

It often feels like I’m fighting the process instead of moving forward." Well, all of this is self-imposed really. Nothing forces you to work on…
Thats great to hear since you talked about trying to get refund. Like WarrenM said. You can't force Modo to work lke 3ds max or maya. It works differently. I think it's really flexible once you wrap your head around it.

Got the main tailing Wall texture done and built the ceiling instead of just having it a texture. The spec might still need some love but i like where it is catching the light from the "glow orbs" so i will see once i have the thing fully lit.
sal, after working on it all day everyday, I usually don't get around to playing much at home. We have lots of internal playtests that fill my BF2 needs:) But I'll probably hit the servers a bit once special forces comes out. Thanks for the tip.
