Yeah you are only dividing the mesh to get the resolution for transferring the texture to polypaint in Zbrush. Would only do this to use painter to bake since there is no option to use a texture with a high poly.
phew, got my thumb out and started polypainting the skin today. its still very rough and basic but u get the idea. iv also done some adjustments to the face.
regarding your texture progress.... 1. do you polypaint? 2. do you texture and bake from a 3d model, or use the canvas in zbrush and export different map passes?
Nice work! Even before polypaint I think you nailed the lips and nose. The ears could use some lovin, but you're probably not there yet. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the feedback Miranda I agree the background does make it hard to see. The model is polypainted and has not been retopped/unwrapped so it does not currently have any texture maps.
Thanks! i will check into the breast issue soon. have done some work on the face; maybe its better without polypainting? trying the get her look young, around 20...
Update: More Zbrush detail, base color polypaint, will be taking it back to Max and fixing things and adding detail to the Diffuse and making a spec in Photoshop. Pictures: Throw words at me! Thanks.
Here is a character ive been working on for a short time it is a gorilla with its legs chewed off. Here is the wire frame, normal and diffuse: (First time I've ever used polypaint for base palette...if) Here is the Zbrush screens: ]
