Man everytime you post some updates - i really wish to play this game. Very nice.. i love the handpainted textures on that bridge and what you did with the blockout in gerneall. Gute Arbeit Jungs ;)
These are models I have been doing for a little while, they represent more only my "try" skills of handpainting textures and very lowpoly. I will try updating these as much as I can, there is nothing special to them. But if there's any feedback, I would love to hear.
I believe the DOTA/Handpainted preset is the one you're looking for. If not, you can take any existing preset, create a project from it, and use the DDO menu to delete the active map until you're left with albedo only. :)
And this one is done =) Over the next few days I'm going to work on some handpainted low poly stuff. The spacefighter is alive and kicking in UDK with some test animations, but that one will have to wait for now... /edit: fixed url
Hey Mawcos, Thanks for pointing that out. It's true, I need to go ahead and handpaint the rest of the assets as well. I`m kind of going for a realistic - hand painted mix look and the rest of the models need that attention as well.
Hey you have a nice start here and as St4lis said you have potential. Overall your lighting needs work. Nothing pops. Your handpainted work is definitely nice, but the lack of contrast is killing your work.
Hey Polycount, I've been practicing on a handpainted environment in UE4. Been working on it for several days and would like some crits and direction. There's a lot of work but here's what I have so far. **CONCEPT** (Mike Franchina)
Hey everyone! I recently revisited an old model of mine to imporve the textures and overall model with what I have learned so far about handpainted textures. Let me know what you think! [SKETCHFAB]8caf7769c5654d738fb93f2f7b84a2aa[/SKETCHFAB]
3dcoat has symmetrical copy/clone tools, and you can adjust your symmetry by selection matching polygons one each side, but I'm definitely keen to one day be able to do handpainted texturing in Blender as well! Cool to see you exploring it. How does Bpainter work in recent versions of Blender, as I understood it was…
