This is a fantastic model! Maybe some of the scratches are overdone a bit but overall I love the textures. I wonder how you did the textures, all handpainted or with texture overlays? Either way it looks fantastic!
yes, handpainting it is definitely the better option. However, it seems some people find making a high>low occ method useful, so it just depends on how yiou go about your pipeline.
I'm glad you changed the nose, because when it was melted together as in the first texture image, it kinda looked like that monkey kid from jumanji Now? Looking good! Nice handpainted textures.
Hi. Here i will share my 3d-attemps with others. Do not fear to make some critic. It's very important for me. Now i'm focused on handpaint texturing. It's difficult to understand the material propertis. But it's very interesting to make all things from scratch.
Started modeling wildstar sign from this concept(mid one): Concept art by unknown arist, let me know if anyone know who draw this Planning to do normal maps and handpainted textures + some animation practice in the end. Finished: model
A bit late, but I had to participate too! As always, beautiful stuff to see here. Here's my WIP :) wanted to do handpainting again! Still have to finish the texturing before doing last mesh deformations.
I see, thank you! So the quickpeel version would only be usable if i were to handpaint it in substance painter for instance. Do you think i've covered the possible/most suitable options of unwrapping in this case?
much better! I made a video about a year ago talking about painting weapons.. I believe you will find some useful information in there for handpainting! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YMu2jy7Oqw&t=95s
