lol the funny thing is when i saw the pitch reel for it last year it was a huge compilation of 80s stuff that that scene is what the logo exploded out of their biceps hahah. so yea, perfectly summed it up!
thanks! meanwhile in 1982 USA... David Thiel is Rocking out and creating the soundtrack for my youth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_f0evDACU9g still my favorite VGM of all time from the 80's
started working on a wolverine sculpt based on a comic from the 80's called havok and wolverine meltdown. gonna try to polypaint it in the style of the comic too. it might be hard to make that crazy hair look good.
Hey cool glad to hear you dont see that anymore! Very kin of 80.lv to write that up and help spread the word. I will be doing more of those in the future so be on the look out for announcements!
I looked it up too...yeah, you have to be careful with any film older than the 80s or so around here--even classics. But that's the way the game rolls! I guess it's you now, Jackablade.
I'm sick of hearing about it! 2 of the guys here worked on it, and that's all they talk about. $80 mill, $90mil, 100... I especially liked the effort that went into varying the backdrops. There was always something new to look at.
Great work on the textures! Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like the texel density on the brick wall is rather low vs. the rest of the scene. https://80.lv/articles/textel-density-tutorial/
+1 for UVLayout. Very efficient for hardsurface and organic UVs :) It gives you a 80s feeling with its keybord-shortcut-only interface. Turn on the knight-rider intro music and feel like the Hoff!
You could try turning your phong settings down a bit on the left. Set the top to like 120 and the bottom to 80 as a starting point, helps to take that white shine down a bit.
Lolz...commenting as an ex-pat kiwi, the statement itself encapsulates 'bureaucratese from downunder' in it's most purest form, ala 80s era halcyon days of unadulterated greed. "sweet as bro..." B)
