This sort of effect isn't possible in Toolbag. I would suggest a game engine like Unity or Unreal with a custom cartoon shader, or a renderer that has a built-in toon shader.
I'm working on a new cartoon environment : I'm in the process of creating textures :-1: Here is one of them :-1: More shots here : https://www.artstation.com/artwork/xzav4m
Colour blockout done. looks like a cartoon at the moment :/ will help when i start texturing i think. baked the gun aswell and started to block out the texture.
He did say it was for a cartoon. Some styles and designs don't play well with perfect spheres unfortunately. I think a screenshot of the problem might make for a good start.
mm, try to change the sky with one more cartoon and pastel color, start with a flat solid pastel color. Color balance need work, especially the grass\terrain.
Yeah don't be discouraged because nobody is commenting, most people on here seem to fancy cartoons above realism. Your work is definitely one of the better ones on this page.
ryanH - with those added passes it may look like less of a painting in motion, but in stills you should be fine. And the normals/etc. could be painted to support the cartoon nature.
Neutralize the yellow bullet spec-color more. Right now they look like cartoon bullets. Your diffuse and specular are doing nothing to accentuate your normal map.
