Ah I see. Thanks very insightfull. I wasn't sure if I could delete the transformation nodes. Thanks for confirming. Coming from Max. Maya is not easy to learn, very technical. But thanks again for the insightfull post!
do not reimport or delete anything. just click on the standard "import" again and just import the same file. it will ask you if it should overwrite the asset, which you will confirm. then you'll get all the dialog splendor you need.
Looking at Intel's site for the 945GC says Max Memory 2GB. http://ark.intel.com/chipset.aspx?familyID=28994 The crucial.com memory adviser for a motherboard with the same chipset confirms it. So you can only do 2 1GB sticks.
Beckmann and Gaussian don't have the same curve distribution. Gaussian appears to be constant but to be confirmed. And Beckmann is the most physical model. Update : https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1812933/UDK/CG_CookTorrance.upk ( I've normlized the L, V and N vector )
My brother works for 'The Sony Store' and he was told the 60GB versions were being sold out. He also confirmed Motorstorm sucks and isn't worth being part of the additional $100 you pay back into that package.
confirmed that it's over a year old, an internal test video or what not. I can't fucking wait to see what it looks like now, and I hope they show a new trailer at E3. SO stoked for this... looks amazing already.
Had to log in for the first time in years for this! I can confirm this is very much my old modular environments but on steroids and applied on every level across an entire game. The whole game was built by 4 artists including techart, and with zero concept art.
That's just the thing. I remember reading on several occasions that in terms of computing the 500 series surpasses the 680. Just wanted to see if anyone can confirm this 1st hand. http://www.anandtech.com/show/5699/nvidia-geforce-gtx-680-review/17
As someone who is looking to up his posting count significantly this year it is great to read this post. It confirmed a lot of what I was already thinking and I learned a lot of new practices also. Great read all around for posters new and old.
Another question I just asked myself, is it true that AMD Radeon graphics cards don't work very well with 3d software like max and maya? Can someone confirm that? Should I bet on nvidia for sure when it comes to working?
