All this fan art makes me wish blizzard would release d3 already, fkn so want to play that game :D Loving the look so far, especially the new wood.. that was a redic paintover fletch :D
Cover letters to game studios are usually a source of entertainment unfortunately. A short unpretentious one in the email body should do the trick, unless the studio specifically asks for a separate cover letter (like Blizzard, if you're applying cold)
I also dont like the huge shoulder pads.... or any over sized armor for that matter. I wish they kept it closer to being "real" like the paladin from d2 was. But this seems to be the direction Blizzard is going for all their games.
Thank you so much for posting this stuff! We don't see enough blizzard art dumps. Great work! Can I ask how long do you spend on these? Are you responsible for just the textures ore do you model too?
I love that seashell hut, but damn would it be tough. Something really lush and organic might be cool. I'd be interested to see how people approach something like this: I also love these concepts by Gray Shuko... I think he's a Blizzard artist.
@BlvdNights - Yeah I drew inspiration from, voodoo, witchdoctors, shaman, native american art, Diablo, and Xerxes (from 300) I do need to get the accessories figured out though but the fact that I'm a huge Blizzard fan I appreciate the comment :)
I'd be happy with this. Probably be awhile before other devs jump on, but even if some of my valve games see mac versions initially I'd be happy. Steam is pretty much all I use on my pc for gaming... plus blizzard stuff of course.
There are to many straight lines, maybe you should break some of them up and give the silhouette a little more curvyness (since you mentioned you wanted to go into the virgil and blizzard style direction! Plus your refs do use curves as well)
VULTURE DEMON https://www.artstation.com/artwork/28Pn9v "I had the amazing opportunity of working on VULTURE DEMON with Blizzard Entertainment for Diablo II: Resurrected at Little Red Zombies and I am glad to share the highpoly which I worked on"
i dont really understand that question. but i also dont think such a thing exists, if you wanna work at infinity ward or blizzard or even more stylized companies, the piece you create will not appeal to all of them the same way. No matter how well it is done.
