COD4 Radiant editor tools leave A LOT to be desired. You'd be better off using Source/Hammer (Orange Box SDK), Sandbox 2/Crysis, or UnrealEd (for Unreal Engine 3). I'm especially looking forward to Rage, one of Id Software's next big games, as the tools look quite cool. :)
I just rotated it and then exported it as a separate obj. When I was texturing this I had a mesh that was open, one that was closed, and another which was just the exploded un-mirrored baking mesh so that I could see all the parts which are currently occluded (such as the inside of the back of the frame, which is covered…
That's not what I'm trying to say though. I think it's better to apply your new skills to a fresh project and expand on that, get new insights, instead of keeping on revisiting/hammering on an oldy. But that is assuming your aim is to get better at what you (want to) do, instead of trying to build the ultimate door.…
Yeah that was fun, I was very hammered by the end of the night, didn't realize I had six drinks, usually I stop at three. Cody and I ended up getting kicked out right after John left because they wanted to close the restaurant, man I feel like junk today.
Try clearing the Transform and Scale under the Heirarchy tab. Apply an Xform modifier or reset the Xform of selected under the Hammer Tab. If you modelled from a plane, it might be stretched in a flat way, where it might be thicker at certain viewing angles. Imported models can have similar glitches where scale is blown…
I realise you know the contest is over and you still want to give it a try... jeezus. I'm not a fan of the shaft (heh) getting bigger (heh heh) toward the top, feels like it's weak towards the bottom, the plain spike and the meat-tenderizer bumps on the hammer front are a bit boring, otherwise looking forward to textures!
just saying, there's probably worse things that they could force you to do in a Chinese prison. Ranging from pollution cleanup, smashing rocks and other hard manual labour, working in open at -30 degrees in inner mongolia. If a Chinese prison is a sweatshop on steroids, then it may be better to have a mouse in your hand…
weight hammer? sorry man I don't know how to do that...well in fact I would love to know how to copy the weight from one single bone or in this case one single vertex..... What I did was a mirror skin weights and the other leg is completely ok, the whole mirror is ok, everything but this vertex.....
First of all, thank you very much for the nice feedback so far! I drew a few designs for another back blade and I also tried a hammer-like backside, but idk if this will work very well. I'll be away for a schooltrip for 10 days but when I'm back, I'll finish this one asap!
lol yea spiffy i did start off with 1 but dropped it since i was advised on here and other places that theres not a massive improvement for the price difference.. haha i could disassemble it with a hammer.......? :D lol does thermal paste come with the heatsink? or am i better off picking some up just incase?
