With that amount of polygons your retopo could be a lot better and follow the shapes of the highpoly a lot closer instead of being just a blob of polygons. Regarding the bake, are you using a cage in Xnormal and have you made sure the objects are in the same location? as it seems to be baking something it could be that the… -

Looks very nice, I agree with the paintover. Did you make alot of those details part of one mesh? If so, you should try splitting things up, making parts floating geo. It will save alot of time and look the same, but the highpoly might not look as clean. But who cares about the highpoly, its the ingame what you care about.… -

you could use and bake vertexcolors from your highpoly (which can contain your albedo colours) to your lowpoly. Knald in its current state seems to be geared more in accelerating the baking workflow for surface maps (taking the highpolys surface into account), not for transferring textures between already textured objects.… -
