Whoa, all those enemies are animated? Great job. Looking at the "super old shit" and what you got by now is just astonishing. I specifically fell in love with the trees in the forest and autumn level, great lighting! Gonna follow your future progress on facebook : D
Thanks for the crit, Ryper. I'll make sure to pay attention to the scale with those trees. It's tricky cos some trees, especially in old growth forest, can get HUGE. I should also point out that the stone colour on those towers is WAY to dark and will be much much lighter in the finished scene.
Hey riddlaz it looks freaking sexy man lovin it ! I'm just diving into the world of the UDK myself having troubles getting good outdoor lighting doing a forest scene myself, how did you get your sky to be so complex and your lighting so great :) . Keep it up man !
This is sort of a look and feel sketch I did tonight, the design is still in progress and will probably end up looking a lot different. Going for a Forest Knight kind of feel. I might make the metal elements detailed as leaves or something. I'll figure it out. Now, back to client work for the night. :3
Thanks josh, might as well post my new project i've been working on(still blocking out) I'm going for All organic, none repeating forms, Zbrushed mostly, fungi forest type of thing... ? here's the mood board. First Rough Block out. //flow model. Fungi House.
Koola's at it again. The same guy that made those crazy ue4 archviz renders and that snowy forest is back with another stunning scene. [ame] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nLGoqqDc0w[/ame] His thread on the UE4 forum: https://forums.unrealengine.com/showthread.php?58385-Koola-s-stuff/page4&
Looking for a series of 3-5 photorealistic forest texture map atlases, either 4096x4096 or 2048x2048. Preference given to those that have terrain/environmental experience, so feel free to highlight that fact if it applies. If interested, please reply via private messaging with ballpark, competitive rate on cost per texture…
I'm thinking of giving Kindred more of a forest protector look. Lamb would look more like an elk and I'm thinking wolf would be a pseudo-dragon. It's still a rough idea though This is gong to be my first art contest, I'm really looking forward to it.
I've already found some references. For face orientation, I will use Kevin James. I am not going to create a likeness, but it is better to have some live references) For weapons - Remington Seven CDL and Colt Python. I still think about the environment - it will be some forest, street, or indoor place. Of course, there…
OK, so let me see if I understand this correctly - lets say I have a forest Im making and 10 of those assets use the same tiling wood texture. That would be 1 draw call for those 10 "batched" assets and another draw call for the material?
