Any suggestions on how to unwrap a model like this efficiently and without much stretching? Currently doing in blender but it takes a lot of time, and zbrush auto unwrap leaves too much stretch
So essentially, Blender can push as many polygons as the RAM, CPU, and GPU can handle? That's excellent. It sounds like Blender has a technical advantage over Zbrush for the moment. Personally, I find Blender's sculpting system easier to comprehend better than Zbrush's, but that's just me. Oh, I wish I had the cash to…
ZBrush is only a 32bit app iirc, and that was why its limited. Blender is fully 64bit (as long as you install the 64bit version), so you can use as much as you have. :)
I don't know, I see all sorts of new programs that come out and are quickly adopted by the game industry. Zbrush, Mudbox, Modo, Xnormal, Crazybump, dDo, nDo, 3Dcoat to name a few off the top of my head.
