Hello! I am trying to create this shape: This is what I made so far: There are these shading errors (i guess?) beside the obvious pinching, how can i improve the topology?
@Raphael_Bouch to clarify for my question, with my current topology i get a little pit of pinching at the edge. Do you know if there is a way to avoid this? Maybe a different way to topologize that edge? Ive included some images of the topology as well as the pinching. It might seem minimal but its pretty visible in a…
You can use the ultimate method (adding more geo) [left, middle]. You could add edgeloop around the area you want sharp (smoothing is necessary to not look pinched) [right, left side]. Or you could try using creases/smoothing groups (although it will be pinched no matter what, you can only control how much of the pinch…
You need to increase the number of sides for the object so that it can support the details without pinching. Increase the number of sides so that each side is around the same size as the support loops that you have now and it won't pinch any more. :)
Hey, I am losing my mind over this shape. It doesn't help that I've already added a bunch of support loops. But I can't seem to get this shape without causing an unholy amount of pinching. I'd prefer to not run edge loops over the curve, even if I do, pinching is still present. Any help would be appreciated.
