Are you refering to this: http://eat3d.com/forum/questions-and-feedback/bug-xnormal-viewer-vs-blender-glsl ? Because we get similar issues when displaying Mikktspace. So I'm really curious to know if you pinned down what was causing the difference in the Xnormal display vs Blender.
As far as I know, Blender's the only app I know of that uses MikkTSpace as default. Might be your best bet? Source engine isn't a million miles off Mikk, either. Might be worth a punt?
