@Minjae_Jeong It would really help to know whether some or all of these faces are flat, or if there are any curves involved here. Is this on a cylinder? Do a little unzoomie for me.
Ups.. black magic of the internet.. now the two images appeared in the first post of this and the one i tried again (where was no "reaction".. also..) Anyway: in blender any edge can be "greased".. meaning the influence of the subdivision is lowered.. so a fully greased model would be visually not subdivided at all.. For…
Have you tried physics + cloth simulation in blender ? Find out what material that is. And drop the pieces on top of a plane that simulates clothes (with restriction) too see if it gives you the shape?) if you want to sculpt it. You need an understanding where the folds crease and how it happens. Imagine putting in one…
lets call it support structure, not necessarily support loops in the sense you would use those when you do not use creases. its just needs a little different thinking about things. you need to keep in mind that the edge quality is dependent on the surrounding geometry, to have consistent looking edge quality you need a…
Thank you for this. Im gonna have to reapply all the booleans and connect them properly first. Also, do you use blender 4.0? i think my tex tools is outdated
This is going to end up being a game model. And near the buffer tube, There is a horizontal annotation line which I have added, I wanted to achieve that form change where there is "bulge" flowing all the way up to the cylinderical shape near the buffer tube. I'm not sure how I can achieve that without using some boolean…
First you do this: [vv]1496428[/vv] then you do this: 1 - icosahedron 2 - chamfer all vertices 3 - chamfer all vertices 4 - remove all polygons except the pentagons 5 - weld/collapse all the corner/triangle vertices MAGIC!
yeah it's a mess....for one smoothing group there's a ton of redundant vertices all over the place, probably better off just clearing custom normals then manually cull instead of solely rely upon an automated operation like decimate?! hmm....I'll post back with a result after I skim that file!
