just a start... to a castle hall/manor house/palace hall environment I've wanted to do. the end product will be "haunted" (cobwebs) and possibly blizzard-able???
Well, I won't be finishing in time for the Blizzard contest, but I'll continue to finish my entry piece, I've progressed far enough that I can't put it down. Anyways, here's the rifle modeled and ready for normal mapping, I'm doing Nova from Starcraft Ghost.
i dug up an old character of mine (about a year ago) and worked on it some more. concept is by blizzard entertainment (although i slightly changed it while modeling) C&C welcome! EDIT: and obviously the middle nose- and fleece edges will be removed once i no longer need the symmetry modifier.
Yeah, photoshop 6 supports pen pressure as opacity. I think it's found as a checkbox in a little drop-down menu along to top tool bar when you have the brush tool active. The updated version is looking much cooler i think, has a kind of Blizzard-style to the textures too
gir - there's no real 'right' way to portray an orc, as it's a fictional creature... but i'll agree that seeing all these Blizzard orcs running around is a bit disappointing. i hate the warhammer orks, though, so at least i don't have to see that. this mesh looks to be in the early early stages, so hopefully he'll get tons…
Very nice sculpt and renders, Sri Ram Chandra, but the textures are looking a little washed out to me. They could do with some more variation, contrast and detail to be as good in quality as your mudbox sculpt there. Also, were you inspired a lot by the Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft cinematics for this? The first thing…
