So I looked at the tools page of the polycount quake 3 resources, and all I could find there (and on google) was an md3 exporter and importer for max 4 and prior. What is the solution for working with MD3's if you have max 7, or 6 I guess I could export it to, but I would prefer 7.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I do still have max 5 installed on my system, I'll migrate it over using obj. I didn't see a 5.0 version, but I am guessing it's out there. Thanks again mr cracker eater. 8-)
I don't think there's an MD3 exporter for Max7. The latest working version of Pop n Fresh's exporter for Max was for 3dsmax5, nothing newer. You will probably have to use the route of exporting .ASE files and using ... is it QData or something? There's a proprietary id software app that converts .ASE to .MD3, I believe.…
Max5 plugins are incompatible with max7, as far as I know. Also, searching for "md3" on that site you linked to results in a max6 plugin by "Jedi Dreams", which is a dead download link, and can't be found on his site.
