Well...I'm at a loss. This could be a 32bit vs. 64bit problem, potentially.....maybe if your level has over 2gb of data in it then that might trigger the crash on loading...but that's a while guess. I'm just shooting in the dark here. You could try cooking with the 64-bit option, (if you have 64-bit windows) and see if it…
The units are just generic units. UDK uses snapping in power of 2 grids though (32, 64, 128, 256 etc) so you might want to adjust your grid in max to that. iirc the default room height is something like 160?
Yes tried both 3ds max 2012 32bit and max 2012 64 bit. Maybe I should look the parameter and look if it's 3D directX or something. I know it's not a graphic problem like zoliul shader but who know. Let try it... maybe it somthing like that
It looks like your lighting is currently per-vertex, so to start with switch your assets to use lightmaps. Give them unique, non-overlapping UVs on a second UV channel and set each asset to use a Light Map Resolution other than zero. 64 is a good starting point.
I'm not having any draw issues here, Vista 64 as well. You're not using the Nvidia 196.75 drivers are you? They might cause some major problems or even lead to hardware failure. I noticed you posted issues with Photoshop in another thread as well. I'm running Nvidia 195.62 drivers without any problems.
Hi Can anybody point in the right direction for the correct grid/Scale settings in Maya to translate to UDK? Is it still the same as unreal where it was around 96 units for a character height ( I remember the Gears editor was slightly different in terms of character height). With grid divsions at soemthing like 16/32/64…
Looks like your lightmap UV's in channel 2 are not snapped to the grid. Change the size of the grid in maya (or whatever software) so that it matches your meshes lightmap value in UDK. It's indicated by the checkers behind your UVs, in your case it's 20x20 right now. So if you intend on having lightmaps of 32 or 64+ on…
Hey guys, I just got my new Gtx 460 today and was hoping to give a shot at the new July version of UDK. After the 1.5 gb install, I double-click on it, but nothing happens. The UDK splash image is shown, and says It also says "UnSetup has stopped working", then the splash image just freezes. I also tried the previous June…
