Mime: yeah, I think the light issue was discussed a page or two ago in this thread. Basically, its 3ds max fault, and it has been fixed in 3ds max 2011. Which is great, because that really bugged me as well with 3ds max 2010.

i dont see the cubemap at all in the viewport. it says its loaded. im also running 64-bit win7 3ds max 2010. and i also made my own cubemap so its not the one from xoliul's site.
I know this is a 3DS shader, but when I use the 1.1 no shadow version of the shader it has weird glitches that randomly change (if you check/uncheck boxes, but not directly related to one box, doesn't change when you rotate, but does sometimes when you move points).
Those are test versions i think. Some might also be examples I just pulled out of 3DS Max/maps/fx/, to base my code on. Don't worry, you're not missing anything (don't bother trying the ones that come with Max, 80% doesn't work, the rest is crap).
