Nope, there no FaceFx anymore. You can use 3DS Max or even Blender for exporting content (animation, static, etc.). The FBX file format is still used for importing content.
It's a new "Math Hall" map included in sample content. It's a little confusing if you've downloaded previous sample content, as new versions of the engine are installing in parallel with existing versions and you need re-download the new samples to use in 4.1.
Does anyone know why I have to open certain materials before it will display correctly as a thumbnail? I'm currently having to open all my materials before I start working just to get a preview. They have something in the hub application called the Marketplace, with some example content listed as being "free", so I feel pretty sure that they are.
In your content browser click on view options in the bottom right, enable show engine content, then copy this asset: MaterialFunction'/Engine/Functions/MaterialLayerFunctions/ML_ExampleMaterialLayer.ML_ExampleMaterialLayer' it can be a good starting point for creating a material layer that has some basic inputs then create…
