Equilibrium fanart and adventures in diffuse painting.
I wanted to make a character with the same style as the amazing Allods Online art dump here, and I also have long been wanting to make fanart of Christian Bale's character from Equilibrium, here's what I have so far, all critiques and criticisms are very welcome! -

Me likes alot. I'm still confused on why the texture seems to be 'bleeding' with the darker hues, is the texture compressed or something? Shader kaput? It's a pity to see such horrible (at least on my screen) color scarring without smooth transitions. -

Most of them are fine actually, I'm referring to the ones like the back where it's too black, and looks almost like a 'burn' of the original color till it got black, which is killing the feel. The ones in the front, are most dark, and the few black strokes he has if fine, but the ones in the back almost look burned to be… -

I dunno, the black shadows give it a kind of comic-book feel, which is pretty cool. I'm not sure, but do you have a few quads that were mapped incorrectly on the back of his left leg? The texture looks a bit mismatched there. -

UV's and maps please, the suit isn't mirrored, but the lower parts seem mirrored indeed, which is kinda killing the feel. Also, try avoiding black strokes in the your folds, as they don't compensate the look of the material well enough (which I assume is some kind of Kashmir, Velvet kinda thing, right?) which would most…
