Also, when making previews it always helps to have the frame count turned on (especially now that we can scrub through frames). It's just so that we can look at each other's work, and be able to pin-point the exact place of our crit in the animation.
Showing off your work in progress If you want to show off your work in progress, do yourself a favor and hold off on the nice renders. Ahh good points Stefan! It is also worth noting that Max and Maya 2013 (which ship in a few days/weeks) will support quicktime 64bit. So converting and wrangling files will be much easier.
