yeh i've also bought the standard surface sheet replacement (black) and it is *rough* like the original surface, so i would assume the clear version is smooth :)
For those who hate the Intuous 4 surface, I should mention that I bought one of these for work and for home: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0041FB176/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details"]Amazon.com: POSRUS Wacom Intuos 4 Medium Pen Tablet Surface Cover: Electronics[/ame] Makes the surface perfectly smooth and there's no…
Have you actually replaced one? I'm under the impression you can buy the *smooth* surface to replace the paper-like one if you dont like it (to stop nib wear) but you cannot buy replacement surfaces with the texture feel. There seems to be black and clear surface sheets - whats the point of that of having that difference?…
Has anyone managed to successfully take the surface off the non touch version of the intuos 5? Just hope this surface can outlast about 5 years to justify a new tablet purchase :P
Does this have the paper-like, texture surface that the Intuos 4 has? My I4 surface has become a bit smooth and slippery over time and would happily pay for a new tablet if it gives me better grip.
My Intuos5 seems to have the same "smoother" surface that my Intuos4 (2nd batch) has. The confusion over Wacom's statement that the 5 has the same surface as the 4 is probably because it is not always specified which version of the 4 they're referring to.
