   They do it for some DRM (example: http://store.steampowered.com/app/9860/ ) but not for everything, I think. @ McGreed - you don't mean irony, you mean sarcasm.

   Ya, that's really unfortunate. What happens if your gpu dies, or you have to swap out your ram or something? Sadly, this is just another example of DRM hurting the people that actually pay for the game. Isn't the first time, and wont be the last time.
