a rat ,render in unity 4996 tris ,2048 diffuse (alpha specular) and normal I use this nice tutorial for the fur http://wiki.polycount.com/HairTechnique?action=AttachFile&do=view&target=squirrelyjones_fur.pdf
Thanks George! :) And thanks for the tutorial, I'm doing a mountain top environment at the moment so I may put that material of yours to use. Glad to see my guesses as to how it works were pretty close to the target.
http://www.youtube.com/embed/IGoMjNtnJv0 made a cutscene for the new TOB soundtrack stuff- we've only got 4 days to go and half of our target to make so if anyone has the money to throw at a dedicated team, we'd appreciate it! http://kck.st/Oe8oHg
Not finished, but since I will not have time anymore to achieve the work I call it done : The following is a school's work, I had to make a jeep car the most realistic as possible regardless the modeling but with a limit of 4500 tri. From the engine to the side mirrors. The target was the Playstation Portable (PSP).
I would go higher in subdivision first thing -> save a morph target -> give it some damage like you have -> bring the edges of the damage back with the morph brush set to splatter. Check out my tutorial I did a while back. Look at the highpoly part. It's pretty much the same thing but without wrapMode..…
hey thanks :) best, dunno. I'm using the standard asset mouse orbit one. got a empty game obejct under the root of the character which the camera targets. thinking of offsetting it a bit though, not having the character in the center :) but yeah, no real advice on what camera controller would be best.. :poly141: how basic…
thatanimator - yeah like the gears of war one:)could target the cam to the biped head also. makes me a little seasick though thanks man, its good to see other people doing this stuff. yeah my knowledge is very basic and my animation is way behind yours. I had a few probs with the cam stuff, but anyway will post up soem…
@Bitgem They look great, very painterly yet natural feel to them. Perhaps a bit low-contrast, but that really depends on the target style. Are they 5 variations or are you blending between grass and dirt with a shader? Started doing this bonnie lass on the side of my environment. Yarr! Set sail for obligatory booty jokes.…
