New character! Adventurer/Knight type dude. Shooting for 2500 Tris + 512 texture for him, with 500 Tris + 256 texture for the sword and shield. Just finishing up the UVs and onto texturing.
Teapot Toilet for The Worst Christmas Present Ever Mini Contest. Modeled in Blender, rendered in Cycles using the new BSDF Anisotropic shader in about 10 seconds at 500 samples. I'm trying to figure out how to make it functional before sending it off to the 3D printer and then delightfully giving it as a gift....
@Ged Thanks for the crit! I absolutely hate faceting, but at the same time you are right when you say it is quite dense. I'll have to see if I can optimize it further without ruing the "smooth" feel I was going for. (Note: Just did it... 500 tris down, got it to 1500 which is much better lol)
Nice work guys! @Swizzle: Looking forward to seeing the breakdown of that shader, it's looking goood. Here's a little low res hand painted texture practice from me. I need a lot more practice so I don't have to rework everything 500 times. Also I didn't make it tileable yet...

This flooring is looking pretty sweet, I enjoyed the little viewport play session. But I also caught something which I wanted to point out: Your bricks are all flush and angled the exact same way -> like they were placed by a laser guided sensor with just the right amount of grout to keep everything perfect 500 years…
