No, the scripts are totally independents. Maybe the problem comes from Maya directly. I think even If you have added the script before launching Maya you need to sue the "source" command to load the script ("source froTools2.mel") and then launch the command "froTools2". Does it still work with Maya 2014? I'm going nuts over copy/pasting the file into all possible locations and still getting the error where Maya cannot find the file. I placed it exactly as in the txt file and added the user file as prescribed. However, Maya 2014 refuses to locate the script no matter where I put it. Unless… -

I don't like this tool too because its behavior can be very random. And the problem is that it's a tool, which mean you have to switch between it and the other tools. In my script the target weld can be just a short cut (alt+d) so it's really very fast to use. It's easier because you don't have to move the vertex by… -

I can confirm that maya 2012 version works fine, had a typo in the script editor when i was trying to launch it. :)
