This week me and my classmates where given the task to create a 3D weapon for a first person shooter. We where allowed 3000 tris to work with. The focus of this assignment was to work with high poly and low poly models, as well as Normal, Diffuse and Specular maps. So here is my Railgun:
A project for school. Im not exactly 100% happy with it but we have a deadline tomorrow so whatever. The assignment was to create a game character from a concept provided by our teacher (we had some freedom in designing the face and accessories). We had 7500 trid and 1024 px maps as our limit.

Thank you for the comment, and yeah I was aiming for low poly. It was actually an assignment in school, so there where rules to stick to. We where not allowed to use more than 500 tris and a 128x128 diffuse map with alpha. Some of the stretching might also be a side effect of the rigg and pose. Thanks though, next project…
