You're awesome. I haven't used these tools, but your updates are great to see! The term "slice-9"... is this yours, or a standard from elsewhere? How does the large red button example work? Are the multiple rows scaled together to semi-preserve the smooth gradient? -

*Quick update* added Unicode support for the settings so that for example the Bitmap Font tool supports Chinese, Japanese, Russian or other foreign characters as well. It should update automatically if you quit the app or you can download it from here ShoeBox 2.2.5 -

I've tried the update and still had no luck getting the bitmapFont to look right with the new kerning features. I believe it looks better, but certain pairs would not look right. An example is the font Segoe UI Bold, with the text "PLAYER" kerning pairs off has the Y biased towards the E and with kerning pairs on it biases… -

Sorry for the late reply, for the near future there won't be any API, command line or alike ability. I am using Adobe AIR and the purpose of AIR is primarily to create rich UI- driven apps for Mac and PC. If all you need is texture packing, there is for example Texture Packer which offers a command line version and UI… -
