Got a problem where what i am rendering in Max isn't how my images are being saved. If i copy it to photoshop and then save it comes out as shown in the render window. No problem, typically you would want to set it to 1.8 if you're working on game assets. 2.2 is good if you want light to behave correctly (good for architectural renders or anything requiring photorealism)
Probably a gamma issue. I'm not a Max user anymore so I don't know the particulars, but it looks like max is displaying your renders at a lower gamma (1.8?) then the output (maybe 2.2)
This is my gamma settings Images are saved as jpeg but it happens with png also just tested. I enabled gamma correction and that looks to have sorted it. Well everything renders as it saves at least. Thanks for the help all
