Hey Ben, that should still be there I think. it's the checkbox "opaque reflections" in the reflection tab. It toggles whether opacity affects reflections and i think specular. It's basically a switch for masking or glass like behavior. I'm not too sure where it is Maya ( it should have it though ) since I have honestly not… -

Ok so I went ahead and did a little update to fix some of the worst problems. What's fixed: * Temporary fix to handle callback problems after opening RTT dialog in 2012. In 2010 RTT dialog still clears shader settings, will be looked at later. * Thumb images should not give anymore problems with non-admin mode. I haven't… -

There's some weird bug with the RTT dialog clearing the light update function, sloppy code from Autodesk probably, but since it hasn't been updated since 2004 (the file says so), it's up to us to work around it. That's something R-J will try to fix once he has his pc... -

Weird, doesn't work at all for me in Maya 2013. Yeah UAC is absolutely terrible. Last time I tried, I couldn't even test things with UAC on: you can't even save maxscript files if it is enabled! Coupled with the fact that you have to a full reboot to toggle UAC, it's pretty annoying to even try and code with it on... -

That looks like a genuine bug. You seem to be the first person to ever get this though. I know that the RTT dialog does a few nasty things, clearing callbacks and destroying some of our code, I will have to look into this. For now, I guess your only option would be to either upgrade Max and see if it's better in 2012, or… -

I've just tested the whole flip channel problem on my PC, it's completely fine here. I changed the code around to what I at first thought was going to be a fix, but that messed up all my previous baked assets. Any chance on moving the temp folder to the systems default temp folder? I think this will fix the problem to have max running as admin. The problem is, if you are running Windows 7/Vista and have the Windows UAC (User Account Control) enabled and run max as admin, you aren't allowed to drag and drop files to it. It's a… -

You're probably downloading with IE. IE reads the header of the file I guess, and decides it's actually a zip (it is really, mzp is just a renamed zip) so it changes that for you. You say you "click on install it doesn't work"... what exactly does it do? You have read the part of the help about running as admin... I hope ?…
