here is a question. how many of you who are saying they grew up poor or are under privileged have ever been racially profiled by the police, or discriminated against based on any criteria ? i think it is safe to say that at the core of this riot is the issue of social discrimination based on race, gender, ethnicity etc.… -

I didnt take anything out of context. Your statement says "the core of THIS riot is". The end bit saying "the killing of Mark Duggan was the final straw that started it all" doesnt expain that you meant the to say was something along the lines of "the core of the initial riots were" So before you start saying things like… -

These things don't just happen out of nowhere - it takes a lot of ignorance about the situation to draw that conclusion. Oh yes, there are criminal acts going on here - but the reason that this is happening is a vastly complicated issue of longstanding disenfranchisement. People just get madder and madder and more fed up… -

no you didn't, it says: "i think it is safe to say that at the core of this riot is the issue of social discrimination based...blah blah blah..." nothing to do with "started teh riots" in there. Your statement is present tense meaning the riots atm. -
