Update: http://lists.blender.org/pipermail/bf-committers/2013-August/041483.html Valve would like to integrate Blender and Steam for DOTA2 Cosmetics....nice!
Funny how many people are raging about the new UI before they've even played with it, especially since they did the same thing when they saw the previous Dota2 UI for the first time.
NDA's been lifted and there's a flood of beta keys popping up you can get in cool ways. Come up with a good joke and you can win one: http://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/kphfi/the_official_rdota2_key_contest/ 2 keys for doing a logo or banner for you artists:…
I think the beta is still North America only. As the Steam store just put the DOTA2 page as accessible here a couple of weeks ago (Before it would show "This game is not available in this region"). I will fill out the beta thing again, but don't know if it will fly.
So I gotta ask. I see all these people making items for Dota2. Is that just for fun? Like making skins for Quake back in the day? Or does valve let you actually sell those items for money? Also, how far does it go? Can you make a brand new hero?
How do you know if you have access to DOTA2 in terms of game-play? I vouched for D2 ages ago, but forgot about it for a long time, today I check it out with my account, and it says "You already own D2". Does it mean I haves access to the spectator Mode only, or the Game mode too?
