I'm actually looking for criticism of the structural anatomy. Being my first female character, I'm feeling quite lost. If you could please illuminate on the aspects of the general structure I am missing, I would greatly appreciate it.
I think the biggest problem is the fact that the lower arms are way too beefy and there is no neck. You should take a look at this stuff on the sculpts in John Carter http://pixologic.com/interview/john-carter/legacy/1/. Here is one of there anatomy breakdowns.
I agree on the censorship.. not really necessary. Just add a 'nudity' tag in the thread title. Anyway.. i agree on what Cexar said about the arm anatomy, but I think the "It's a demon so normal anatomy might not apply' is something you shouldn't buy into. Sure, anatomy might be different, but it still needs to appear…
If you want the handle to curve, it should curve the other way. Away from the sharp edge. There's a reason falchions, scimitars, katanas, and cutlasses's grips are all set on the same curve as the blade -- Imagine swinging this quickly and rapidly, it's weirdly off balance. Function matters a lot for weapons, their anatomy…
I did a word count on your first post in this thread. The result: 1437. This is an art forum. Don't blame people for not wanting to read that much. You've succeeded in making something insane and fucked up, but there are anatomy flaws, many of which have been mentioned. You should use reference images, and if you already…
I'm sorry about the long word count: just a way of me introducing this world to the public. I'm fine if certain people don't want to wade through 1400+ words of my fiction, hell even I skip to the purdy pictures on everyone else's threads. So long as people don't try to poke holes the literature they haven't read, I'm…
I would say that if you're an environment guy who is not that experienced in character art, you should stick with realistic anatomy for this sort character's body/muscles etc, but feel free to go nuts with head/hooves (look at goats, cows etc. for those). Get lots of good reference and follow it as closely as you can. Here…
Hi there Kazeo, this project has been really fun to follow. I was wondering; you seem to be focusing a great deal on the history and anatomy of these creatures, which gives the impression that they're not shape-shifters. This form wasn't specifically chosen by them. With that in mind I'd take the time to consider why the…
