pior: Blender can have it issues, I will give that, since the beginning of this thread, only recently have I started getting to grips with it, but at least Blender is standardized. It has pretty much has a 'lite' version of every tool out there, integrated in it, which is where most of my headaches get cut in half for me.… -

Erm, Add > Mesh > Cube and Add Modifier > Subdivision Surface? What else have you been able to do in those apps without tutorials? O_o -

Ill wait until the UI is fixed up a bit more. At least in C4D, Max, Maya, and Modo I could create a cube and get subdividing without any tutorials. -

This is what i used to learn blender. It has a bunch of tutorials all separated by difficulty and you can basically follow them in order. Only downside is some articles are not finished. -

The Forever Blender blog also seems to have a good collection of tips, tricks, tutorials, and news. I went though the 1st Drop from 3D Buzz over the last couple of nights. It was a pretty good intro to the UI. -

BlenderCookie is the best way to start using Blender, another equally awesome tutorial site is BlenderGuru but it is more oriented towards experienced users. Frequent looks in the BlenderArtists forums is also a great way to stay updated with Blender's development.
