   http://support.xbox.com/en-us/Pages/default.aspx I am pretty sure you can register your xbox and check the warranty on it. Mine had an extended year that covered the 3 rings of death like 2 months ago. But i dunno more details on how this will work. My guess is, wait for the update, if it breaks your xbox send a request…

   Perfect, my drive has been acting up for a while, stops reading disks until I open it up ans fiddle with it. Wonder if broken warranty seal excludes me from this though...

   How can you even tell how long your warranty is? I got my Xbox as a gift about a year and a half to two years ago. It was one of the white xboxs, arcade I think.
