I played as a soldier and I took the Viper (extra ammo + extended barrel) and the Revenant (stability + extended barrel). I was using the Matlock, but quickly realise that the Viper actually carries more ammo than almost all assault rifles and does more damage, go figure.
I would say watch the videos. there is not much extra content during the playthrough. Look for the extended endings and also there is a video on what other cutscenes where added.

Plus I can imagine it'll make for a nice break from the single player which in effect will extend the game a bit longer :P
bioware was being very specific about the ending not being exactly what it did end up being, and even mentioning an ending that's not even in the game. ca-ching. Is it too unreasonable to ask for a single free dlc for everyone that purchased mass effect 3 to begin with? There's another humble rpg developer out there that…
I liked the original ending but that was when I believed in the whole Indoctrination Theory. There was a full length movie where a guy talked about the last 20 minutes of ME3 and why this theory made sense to me and I was mind blown. The new endings are awesome and all have something to feel good about (unless you refuse…

Everyone who went through the series knew what the choices in the series were all about, and…
