Like it's been said, on your first post I could hardly tell the difference between the ref and the scene. Good thing you labled it! I would love to see your texture tutorial. Everyone has a different style and process. Perhaps you could do a tutorial on texture blending and vertex blending.
Started working some more on the floor. I almost 100% of the time make my textures from scratch in Zbrush, using very little photos, except for reference. Would be there any interest in tutorials about how I make my textures? Feels kinda pointless to do that these days, with PhilipsKs tutorials available ;)
EDIT: added some closeup views of the rock piece. built to be rotated to produce different rock shapes. Some better placement of the mountains + 1 of 2 mountain textures done. I got a tutorial coming up on how I made the mountain texture, hopefully within a day or two :)
As everyone has mentioned prior, I thought one of your renders was the actual photo lol I love this scene and await your tutorials! it's always nice to see how people go about in their workflow, plus i'm curious about that vertex blend from the ground into the rock meshes myself ><
Still freaki'n amazing! Are you thinking of adding any characters or objects to the scene? Or is it just for training/test purpose? Would be cool with a horse(s) coming at you in full speed with a big cloud of dust behind it. Maybe borrow a cowboy from Lead and gold :D Would be awesome to see this engine be used in some…
Ill do that :) Though I do not know all the technical aspects of it myself, ill go into how to generate everything needed in the texture tutorial, then how you set it up after that depends on the engine I guess.. :) @kaburan It is a heightmap based blend, using the vertex alpha to blend between the two textures :) Ill se…
