Thanks! as for the method for making terrains, I'm currently setting up a detailed workflow that I will share with the community. There is really nothing special to it, but I'm sure that will save a lot of time for people wishing to get convincing results for highpoly cg renders and for game engines. Just to summarize it…
Coding a small game! I've been following a tutorial, while this doesn't look much I have it so the player moves about while the cube follows and rotates to the direction of the player. I started working on a damage system (Note the GUI healthbars) A friend and I will start delving more into code and hopefully in the coming…
As of August, UDK ships with a material function for overlay, no need to use a custom node. Custom nodes can lead to problems even if it may be cheaper in instruction count.
Here's some things I've been working on lately. None of these are really finished yet... I think I'm going to spend the next few weeks just working on texturing, because I'm really really weak in that area. Reaktor can be anything you want it to be. :) Be it a synth, sequencer, effect, you name it. Think of it like a node based shader editor, but with sound. ;)
Looking good! Funny that I marathoned the whole Game of Thrones just yesterday and was thinking of doing something based on it myself :P If you want to have a little fun with the materials you could add some procedural snow. You could make a material that blends between your base texture and snow depending on the direction…
Here's the old unwrap, needed a few changes but overall it's similar And a quick render. Normal map isn't applied yet, which is why those buttons seem a bit chunky. It's going into an open wheel race car. BTW, if anyone asks you to do an alcantara texture, do the world a favor and just throw them off a bridge. Carbon,…
