I have a question about animation in the game industry. For the most part, I don't see that many pure "Animator" positions open very often. Is it because game companies generally don't have specialized animators? Is this a trend that is changing? What about the difference between game animation and film animation? I… -

well JacqueChoi, to be fair to gam animators there is more than working with the gamedesigners on different kind of games. Cinematic cutscene animator is for example an job position which is pretty well known. But i agree completly with your post -

from my point of view i get a strange feeling from animators which "only" can animate, because i think it´s important to know more, every discipline at best. We for example are a very small company and i´m doing rigging, skinning, animation, outsourcing management, sometimes even cleaning bad topology when it matters… -
