Yeah, the transition from pencil to tablet it's terrible - I myself I'm not done yet, although many years has passed since my first digital attempt. But why don't you use the best of two worlds? Make your initial drawing on pencil, scan and paint in PS? It works very well…
Incredibly good stuff! Your graphite work makes me wanna put aside my Wacom pen and pull out my sketchbook and 3B pencil. I think I'm gonna do so right away.
Today's update.... This drawing was just a quick(ish) value study with the prismacolor col-erase! There is so much more potential in wax pencil crayons than there is in standard graphite (in my opinion). I don't think I can go back!
@DarkStar: These are mostly from ref. =) A couple study cards drawn during lunch break at work. The first was actually charcoal on lined paper, but I used Photoshop to remove the lines. Still... it's a pretty roughed up image. The second is just a prismacolor pencil.
BEAST, fantastic stuff here, very impressed. Could you do us a favor and edit the last few posts with the image embedded for read(/view)ability? You can wrap img tags around a polycount attatchment link! Can you share anything about your (mental) process with these poses? Also, about what size are the pencil drawings?
