ok, I have tried to render images and I still have a bit of popping but it looks like it is due to a big amount of materials I have in my scene. There is no poppings when I render mesh with one material
The Stooge Exporter does not add any new file types to Maya's export list, it needs to be run directly as a script. An export dialog should pop up with lots of options and an output file path. Check out the ToolbagUserManual.pdf for details.
any takers on what might be causing this? what type of settings do you guys use when you bake out of xNormals, maybe something is wrong there. I did have to combine maps in photoshop, perhaps an issue popped up there when I did that? perhaps the alpha channels got screwed up or something?

@BreaK-, That should work fine. It's probably pink because you have the Alpha channel visible in the channels tab. Are you saving it as a 32bit tga, when you get the "Targa Options" pop up? you need to select 32bit for the alpha channel to be saved. solved . Weird so after reinstalling 208 kaspersky popped up and asked if I trust this application. Which i said yes to then had to manually force it to be a trusted app with full privileges.
