Are you switching folders or workstations? It loses Mats for me when I do that, but if I keep everything in one folder without subpacking, it should load correctly.
In the marmoset folder, all of your content should be under that folder structure(unless the relative path thing has changed recently). Also, if you're loading you OBJ again, that would be a problem too. You need to load the .mesh file that toolbag saves.
The config file still exists if you would like to edit it by hand, it has just moved with v1.04. It's in your windows user folder in Documents/toolbag.
Just download the app, install in the same folder, and that's all ! The 1.04 support automatically the transfer of the license. :) In my case I don't have uninstalled the previous version.
Create a folder inside /base/(in your toolbag dir), and bam, relative paths.(Unless this has changed from older versions). Then simply tell your buddy to extract to /base/.
Ohhh Gooood, PROBLEM SOLVED. The problem was my name in a location path (folder name has a polish letter). I moved my .obj to C:/OBJs/pillartest.obj and IT WORKS. Sorry for that and big thanks for help!
You mean under the C:\Program Files (x86)\MarmosetToolbag folder i save my .obj files and its textures? Or will anywhere under program files folder be fine? I just found another bug, it seems if i am dealing with multiple chunks all with different material, and then whenever i save the scene or press the save mesh and…
Everything is one folder in English characters. This is contract work I'm allowed to show, but I don't think the client would be to happy me giving it out. Let me see if I can reproduce these issues with personal art and send you those files. Thanks for getting back to me.
yes, even if .mesh is loaded and all textures, mats and objects are inside the marmoset directory, i still get the issue of missing .mats and incorrectly applied .mats whenever the scene is loaded. my project directory is marmoset toolbag/projects/name of project folder/all objects .mat and textures placed here
@ ace angel - nope i'm not switching machines or file folders. It looks like a problem with the material ordering in marmoset, simply some objects pick up , some dont. Apart from this, hopefully 8monkeylabs would add in their next releases the feature to be able to delete chunks in the object list, and be able to import…
