This is correct, Marmoset is a model viewing application, not a 3d modeling application. Any mesh editing will have to be done in your 3d application of choice.
It's in all probably not a fault with Marmoset, ATI just have shitty drivers :/ In all likelihood, ATI prob broke something in their latest update, which in turn broke Marmoset. ATI drivers cause issues with everything related to 3d creation...Blender has had problems with ATI drivers for as long as I have been into…
How to not get this flat effect in marmoset tools with metal objects? I use sunlight and testing different specular settings in Marmoset, but I dont get it to look good. In marmoset: http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a99/k0nane/1911_Test_screenshot3.jpg In 3D Max with xoliuls Shader, not the same angle as in Marmoset but…
It's true, ATI/AMD drivers have been a big problem for us. I think part of the reason is that we are using OpenGL and not Direct3D (many other 3D modeling apps are in the same boat). I feel a lot of emphasis is placed on driver quality for games (Direct3D), which keeps most of their customer base happy, but the 3D artist…
^^ Second separate map slot for gloss. One other thing that would be cool is if there where a way to get the 3ds max camera into toolbag, since when I do presentation sheets it would be nice to have the same view.
Hmm i was wondering is it possible to obtain different render passes ( elements ) out of marmoset .. you like light pass .. specular pass .. etc etc like those we can get from 3ds max render elements window ..
This usually happens when one or more verts in your UVs are welded incorrectly, IE: two verts close together in 3d are welded in 2d, the mesh normals get all fucked up when you do that. This tends to happen when your weld threshold is set to high.
Can anyone post a screen shot of the export settings for 3ds max? In FBX or OBJ mode, whichever works best. I am just unsure of what settings I need for a normal created in max, smoothing set up in max and what things should be check marked. And dose my green channel need to be flipped in photoshop/any other things check…
