Guys, I'm going to need some directions for the Sniper's face because it doesn't have a very defined style. It's very generic actually. What do you think would be a good real life model for him?
The belt for the gun makes the lower half of his body too busy imo. If you removed them and possibly the vest and just kept the bandana and suspenders it would look even better. As for the head, I'd make the nostrils a little more defined and the brow just a little bigger. Just what I'm seeing anyway, really loving the…
looking very good guys!! tho id say as a general idea, put more polys around the eyes for more definition. Except for Swizzles models/textures, some creases around the eyes are too soft , I think it could really make the character's expression pop out if the eye region was more definied. Ok im done nitpickning, as a whole,…
d1ver: I'll admit that concept wasn't super hot, but I'm glad you like where I'm taking this. Mico27: You're right! Now that you mention it, he does kind of look like Francis. I'm not terribly concerned about that Facepunch thread, honestly. I looked through everything after that page and nobody even started on a model or…
tex_cookiedough: I've been using Mudbox and Modo for somewhere around five years now on a hobbyist basis. Neox: I agree about the legs and it's on my to do list, but I don't think I'm going to be able to get to it right now. Bl4ckie: Yeah, I used the Source SDK model viewer for these screenshots. It's a lot easier to get…
I would definitely lower the top of his head as Swizzle has said many times that the TF2 characters's eyes are past the half way point of the head, lowering the top of the head would achieve that. I would also pronounce his brow more and bring his jaw forward as it seems the TF2 characters all have substantial underbites
To DKK, the way to go is definitely to use the sniper's color scheme. Other than that the belt buckle should have engraved a smile just like the demo has drawn under his croth guard. To Swizzle, try making the heavy nostrils wider and larger while keeping the nose round and as flat as possible. The current heavy doesn't…
