Another thing to keep in mind is we repurpose maps all the time. It may look like we're saving time by "adjusting" a map in a material but a lot of times it's done to save memory. Ok cheers for the tip! Yeah I definitely recommend the Eat3D training. There's a lot of great info on setting up materials that utilize blended normals, and tiling additions to the diffuse etc to break up big tiling textures.
