yeah, it's basically like you have a targeted camera, and the target is where the camera points at/rotates around. so if you pan left, the target moves left with the camera. f6 aligns the target to your object, but you can still move the target off the object by panning (probably the cause of your frustration) It's…
ghib: There are some fuctionalities you may not know about the temporary pivot tool. Once the temporary pivot tool is on, turn on any snapping option. Move the cursor over to a snapping target and left click. The temporary pivot will snap onto that snapping target. If you want to snap the orientation as well, press down A…
All polygon modelers have a way to enter the target value for scale somewhere. Blender, Max, Cinema and so on. Not exactly like in Maya as shown here, but in the one or another way. I know not a single polygon modeler that lacks of numeric scale. EDIT: I checked Blender and found a funny thing. Blender has also just scale…
Achillepr: The program is still a bit of a moving target, with things changing all the time. Have you looked at the box that appears on the left of the viewport though? It shows you a few of the tools and what keys they're mapped to. I suggest you create a box and get experimenting!
Yeah I've been using the lasso too as well. I also been using the pen's side buttons as a middle button, it targets selections pretty well, I'm not use to it yet but it works well for now. Blender has a good vertex selection... as far as tablets go. Bean you wouldn't happen to be the person who posted a tribute video for…
if that is possible, sure thing :) good thing about the tool in max is, that it uses pathfinding and finds its way it doesn't have to be on a loop to find the way, we had a tool for that in a production i worked on years before which used a better pathfinding algorythm, it even found a way to the closest possible point,…
Nice changes Istonia. my feedback:* Resymmetry - symmetry line should not move. see gif below for explanation. * Set Manipulator - doesn't always revert back to original Pivot Position & Orientation. (will post further results if I can pin down why) *Suggestion* * Set Manipulator - LMB clicking on snap target will move the…
Thank you for the tip about the library. Now about morphs. The purpose is for exporting to animation packaged, currently in VW and Wing3d (my main modeling app) I have to duplicated an object to create a morph target, ie a facial pose or a facial expression. In doing so it's a bit cumbersome to hide and show original…
Hi IStonia, First of all. You're app is great. After the last update of max i am looking for a new modeler and for what i have already seen in yours this could be the one. Only the UV mapping tools could be better. Maybe you can take a look at http://www.renderhjs.net/textools/. He has made some great stuff targeting uv…
