Yes, was thinking on "paint select" brush tool with actual brush size display, not the regular drag/paint select working after highlighting geometry.Thanks. EDIT: Yes the paint brush is working fine now.Thank you! As far as "select polygons in selected edges", it will not work in these cases, which I think it's just fine…
There should probably still be keyboard shortcuts for "select ring" and "select loop. " For example, I will select a horizontal edge, select one up the model from it a bit, call "select ring" to select all edges between them that are part of the same ring, then call "select loop."
ya i just changed the selection mappings up, got rid the the selection toggle and made shift+click add selection, and control+click subtract selection, with no modifiers remain as replace selection. find that works the best
Istonia, thanks. -"polygons in selected edges" doesn't work, however "polygons inside selection" does exactly what it is supposed to. -"paint select" fails to do edge and vertex selections,by default behavior (LMB) it selects through and gets the back components selected as well. On polygons it is okay. Thanks.
@vrav Can you elaborate select thru? Try to play around with ctrl, shift, ctrl+shift ctrl = subtract selection shift = toggle selection, selected become unselected and vice versa ctrl+shift = add selection
A couple more pieces of feedback: * Include the function 'delete' in the keyboard shortcuts window * Holding q to lasso select means you can't use 'Shift - Include' or Exclude selections. * on deleting end pieces 'Remove Isolated Vertices' should be an automatic process. I can't think of a time when I'd want Isolated…
@MrOneTwo Rite now the selection method work like dis lmb = rectangle/lasso/circle depending on ur selection setting mmb = paint select mmb without sub-object highlighted = rectangle/lasso/circle selection including backface (the drawback with this technique is unable to rect select when sub-object is highlighted because…
i noticed a little bug with the double click loop select and double click right select. if your just selecting 1 loop or ring it works as expected, but if you try to loop select multiple rings or loops by holding shift and doable clicking edges, on all but the first selection, it will select the loop than de-select the…
Memag, I use paint select for everything, and have no issue with it selecting back edges / verts when not using the select through option with caps lock on... hmmm I use paint select for everything selection wise.. I don't like the area select stuff.. So not sure what that is.. hmmm when I do the video you will see me…
My mistake. What I have done is 'Polygons inside selected edges'. I can't recall what 'Polygons in selected edges' is for. I will check it out. Can't find the paint select problem. But the marquee selection does always select through for vertices and edges. I will fix it.
