Use Zoltan's ASE export script. It works most of the time. Sometimes it won't export smoothing correctly, but usually that means you need to restart modo. There's also this ASE export script from this site and a tutorial on how to use it. Last time I tried to import a FBX from Modo it came in with all hard edges. I hope it gets fixed with SP5.
